Since 1985, Seattle Area Archivists (SeArch) has served as the local association of professional archivists and others interested in the preservation and use of archival materials in the Greater Seattle Area. Whether stored in boxes on shelves or on servers in the cloud, our archives are packed with incredible stories—and we’re here to make sure they don’t fade.

To promote cooperation and the exchange of information among individuals interested in the preservation and use of archival and manuscript materials.
To disseminate information on research materials and archival methodology.
To provide a forum for the discussion of matters of common concern and promote continuing education.
To cooperate with other similar cultural and educational organizations.
Seattle Area Archivists is a registered, nonprofit corporation in Washington State. Programs and other activities are planned by a volunteer steering committee and are funded by annual membership dues.
SeArch is volunteer-run and the steering committee handles the planning, coordination, and administrative work that keeps our community connected. We are always happy to hear from members with questions, ideas, or feedback.
